Anyone who has seen this tribute to L.A. based supergroup GUNS N' ROSES will readily agree with their reputation as one of the most exciting tribute bands on the circuit today. The band's ability to combine their heavy metal technique with punk attitude has seen them receiving ecstatic reviews all over Britain, and their raw energy and frighteningly good stage show has led to GUNZ N' ROZES being labelled
"THE MOST DANGEROUS TRIBUTE BAND IN THE WORLD"
Gunz N' Rozes are:
Frontman GARRY CROWLEY's appearance on T.V.'s "Stars In Their
Eyes", won so much acclaim that he was asked back to appear on the
show's Christmas Special. He also performed vocals on N-Trance's
recording of the Guns N' Roses classic "Paradise City".
N.G.P. (Rhythm). NGP's
energetic impersonation of IZZY STRADLIN's stage performance and
guitar work, makes his physical resemblance a bonus.
He also does much of the backing vocals, always spot on.
SNAKE (Bass). Snake's hard edged bass style cuts through with punk attitude allowing his impression of DUFF McKAGAN to be uncannily accurate.
STEVE HARCOURT (Drums). Recreates MATT SORUM's drumming with unswerving confidence. He is a drummer experienced in many techniques whose love lies in heavier styles.
JOE HARCOURT (Lead Guitar). His performance as lead guitarist SLASH is simply superb, all of his classic riffs and solos are recreated note for note, and Joe's physical appearance is remarkably similar to Slash.
All the classic tracks including "Paradise City", "You Could Be Mine", "Sweet Child O' Mine", "Welcome to the Jungle", etc, etc, are performed by the band along with many other songs from the albums, "Appetite for Destruction", "G N' R Lies", and "Use Your Illusion I and II".

We seen guns since the the 2nd time they played Bristol. I have to say Ive been crawling walls waiting for the night as we are a mainstream G N' R fans. The night come around after counting days, hours, minutes seconds etc. This was a feeling after 3 years off the scene we felt very content over then next 1hr and a half+++ show and we walked away feeling chuffed to bits.. Garry mentioned us on stage which was brilliant and as a performer made the night very special. I have to say I love G N' R and after 1993 theres has been no other tribute to GunS like this SEE THEM NOW!

Considering this is a Thursday night its surprising how many people are willing to pay to see a tribute band in this venue. I have to confess that I had never seen this particular band in action before tonight's gig, but from the look of the crowd which was quite large right from the doors opening, I knew that this was going to be not just any old tribute band.
Guns N Roses are one of those bands we all adored in the 80's, every one who was anyone had their albums in their collection. The clubs knew that all they had to do was stick on a track by the band and they whole room would descend onto the dance floor as one mass of bodies.
They had the look, they had to style, they had good songs and members who looked like they belonged in a rock band. Young males would dress like their favourite member and take on the persona of that member when they were out on the town. Then the bubble burst and the band quickly disintegrated. They never made it back after all the bickering and fighting that went on between them, so much to give and yet over so quickly. The fans still wanted them to continue as a group, we loved them and we needed them, but it wasn't to be.
So tonight we make do with this tribute band who have aptly been named as ... 'The most dangerous tribute band in the world!' . Whether this is true I couldn't say, but if you liked the attitude of the band, the look and the songs, then this tribute band is the closet you will ever get to the real thing.
Not only did they look like the band but they also sounded like them as well. During the set which was long and very enjoyable we saw more costume changes by the lead singer than I could count on one hand. It seemed that for every song he had a new outfit, what a pro!. Between songs the singer talked in a fake American accent which was very close to that of Axl himself, he even introduced the band members as if they were the real Guns N Roses. You really had to stop and wonder whether they were acting out parts or whether they really believed it as it was so accurate and made it all the more special. Tonight they weren't just some tribute band we had on stage before us, THEY WERE THE BAND!
The band consisted of Garry Crowley who took the part of Axl Rose and did a very good job of it as well. Ok so he carries a bit more meat on him but he still looks the part. Next we had Neil Powers as Izzy Stradlin. A man who's resemblance was uncanny to say the least. Duff McKagan was played by Craig Forsyth. On the drums we had Steve Harcourt who although didn't look much like Matt Sorum, sounded really good during the songs. Last but not least we had Joe Harcourt as Slash. All I can say about this man is he must be his long lost brother as he had him down to a T.
The room thoroughly enjoyed this musical extravaganza and the members who performed in front of us. This may be a poor mans alternative to what once was a mighty band, but they do them proud and continue to keep that fire burning in the hearts of us all that maybe one day they will return in all their glory to thrill us again.

Playing the Lemon Tree on Friday 9th Feburary are Gunz N' Rozes, the official Gunners tribute band. Yeah, that's right, Guns N' Fuckin' Roses man! Get in the ring Motherfucker! Sorry, Getting carried away there. With the imminent return of GN'R, albeit in emaciated form, interest in their music has grown once again as many closet Gunners fans come out of the woodwork, and admitted that they actually ruled, appalling misogyny and bigotry aside. So what better time to experience the true, original Gunners experience, or at least the closest thing.
Led by Garry Crowley, who appeared on "Stars In Their Eyes" as Axl Rose, Gunz are one of the finest tribute acts around. The band were in Aberdeen last May at Glow 303 and I saw them last year at the Cathouse in Glasgow with my metal buddy Phil. So I can honestly say that you'll have the best time at the Lemon Tree. Their set includes most of "Appetite For Destruction" and the good bits of "Use your Illusion", with costume changes reflecting different eras of the band, from sleazy LA oiks to globe straddling superstars. The musicianship is awesome, the Slash impostor more than capable of nailing a solo on "Rocket Queen". I even to manage to catch his plectrum when he threw it into the crowd at the end. The staging is perfect, with all the moves in place, and Crowley does some great banter, introducing "My Michelle" as a song "about fuckin' heroine".
Gunz N' Rozes capture the energy and attitude of early GN'R and even those of you who go along in your Top Shop Iron Maiden shirts looking for Ironic japes will soon lose their detached grins as they join in the moshpit.

"Guns 'n Roses, Guns 'n Roses" - and so to that unforgettable chant intro to "get in the ring", several dozen people go apeshit to the sight of Axl, Slash and cronies walking onto the stage. Except...that it's the tribute band. Which is as good as we're going to get, seeing as the real deal are too busy stroking their massive egos.
They do a good job of looking like the band (Slash especially), and open with "Welcome To the Jungle". The crowd love it, with a decent bouncy pit moving to every rock'n'roll rhythm that the band throw. Only when they play "Don't Cry" does the pace slow down and the crowd look bored. Quick costume change later for Axl, and The Band blast back with "My Michelle" they finish with "Live And let Die" and the pit explodes into a mass of hair and sing-a-longs.
Encoring with Paradise City, it's obvious everyone is having a good time, forgetting that we might never see the original line up - but who cares, when you've got a note perfect and quality look-a-like Gunz 'n Rozes playing our beloved Esquires.
Overall, a good gig with decent crowd interaction with the band; a good job done, making people forget that they weren't watching the real deal. Just next time, forget the hot pants Axl!

Gunz n' Rozes
The most dangerous tribute band around featuring "Stars in Their Eyes" Garry Crowley at Rio Rokz in Bradford.
When I was a kid I absolutely loved Guns n' Roses. To me Axl was God.
I listened to them religiously every day, I watched the videos, wore the clothes and was lucky enough to see them not once but twice!
When I found out that a Guns n' Roses tribute band was coming to Bradford Rios, all those childhood memories came flooding back and I just had to go.
I see lots of bands so it's quite rare for me to get excited, but the day leasing up to this gig saw me leaping about like a jack in a box. I wasn't disappointed.
Not only did the tribute band sound like the original they even made an effort to look like Axl, Slash etc. Ok so meant wearing wigs and Axl nipping off stage to change into a kilt but it was all done in the name of show business.
Gunz n' Rozes even had the same stage persona and mannerisms off to a tee. At one point Axl climbed onto the speakers which had me and the rest of the audience in total awe how I would love this man's job!
It may sound cheesy in print, but believe me, if you had been there you would have loved it. But the American accents between songs was the only part of the show which made me cringe.
Gunz n' Rozes played all the songs that I hoped they would and note perfect. Afterwards I took it upon myself to go backstage to tell the band how much I had enjoyed the show. All I need not is to see a Pearl Jam tribute band and my life will be complete.
Polished performance by Blistering Rockers The Queens Tap by Ian Miller.
Tribute band Gunz n' Rozes rock persona of their idols were in full view for all the see. No words can describe the blistering and effervescent quality of these five unselfish polished performers.
The band's set on view was littered with all the trade marks that all Guns n' Roses fans around the world would have come to expect. The gruff but passionate and flowing vocals of Axl Rose were mesmerising and the quite simply superb guitar playing of Slash made the night a treat for all Roses fans who have not seen the true product.
To have a tribute of this calibre in Swindon we should be honoured that Gunz n' Rozes took the time to treat us all to the quandary of musical rock mayhem. A blistering rock phenomenon that is Gunz n' Rozes
